A Sense of Fun was created by Lorna Duggan — an educator and therapeutic play practitioner who understands how important calm, supportive environments are for children and families.
With a background in education, sensory play, and child development, Lorna saw a growing need for a space that felt different from traditional soft play centres — somewhere calmer, more inclusive, and thoughtfully designed around children’s emotional wellbeing as well as fun.
Her vision was to create a welcoming environment where children of all abilities can explore, play, regulate, learn, and build confidence at their own pace — while parents feel comfortable, supported, and able to truly relax.
Every session at A Sense of Fun is designed with intention, combining sensory-rich play, creativity, movement, and connection in a safe and nurturing atmosphere. From babies discovering textures and sounds for the first time to older children building confidence through structured activities, the goal is always the same: helping little minds feel calm, safe, and free to play.
